Description

Works as a safety device for letting the refrigerant escape when the pressure of the compressor or pressurized reservoir becomes extremely high. Various connection types are available based on the size: Threaded, flanged and butt welded.

[How to order the safety valve]

When ordering the safety valve, check the safety valve design pressure table in the catalog below and specify a refrigerant and simmering pressure. If your desired safety valve cannot be found in the safety valve design pressure table, check the refrigerant and system design pressure and contact us separately. After receiving an order, the safety valves are manufactured while setting the pressure of the valves one by one. Therefore, please note that the standard delivery time is 1.5 to 2 months.


[Safety valve certificate]

The nameplate and certificate of an actual safety valve indicate the measured value of the simmering pressure in the operation experiment. (Example: Order received: 1.72 MPa or higher →Certificate: 1.77 MPa)
The certificate will be enclosed, mailed separately, emailed with PDF attachment, etc. Please contact us at the time of ordering for more details. The certificate’s warranty period is one year from the date of issue.


[Safety valve readjustment service]

Once a safety valve is activated, the spring is loaded and the valve will not return to the original state. Therefore, we provide a safety valve readjustment service. Please send the safety valve body to our Nagano branch. We will readjust pressure of the valve as per your request and will coat the valve before returning it to you. For more details, please contact our Valve Division (Sales Department).

Description

Large accumulator for preventing damage caused by liquid compression. It stores mixture of oil and liquid refrigerant temporarily and returns the mixture to the compressor gradually and safely. It is a made to order product and the delivery time is about 1.5 months. Accumulators with special specifications are also available. Operating Restrictions of Valves According to Exemplified Standards for The Refrigeration Safety Ordinance

The operating range of valves is restricted by the type of material, according to 20.2 Exemplified Standards for The Refrigeration Safety Ordinance.Especially in the low temperature region, the operating pressure is reduced to 1/2.5 or below of the original design pressure. Ammonia and Freon type refrigerants are available considering the refrigerant properties. However, be careful when using high pressure fluid even in the low temperature region, such as CO2.

Options (Opening / Closing Tool, Cover Gasket, Gland Packing Set)

Opening Tool

The opening / closing tool is a tool dedicated for MORIKAWA’s M series. Attach it on the spindle and rotate it to open or close valves. This single opening / closing tool supports of valves in several sizes. This product is not included in the valves and needs to be ordered separately.

Cover Gasket

Cover gaskets vary in dimensions depending on the type and size of valves of each age. For details of the gasket types and dimensions, see the catalog. If valve type is not found, contact Valve Division (Sales Department).

Gland Packing Set

Two types of gland packing sets are available: a set of gland packing and O ring, and a set of gland packing and gland gasket available from March of 2011. Check the type, age, etc. of the valve currently being used before ordering. Please check the catalog for details.
